Download how scales are made | Lesson #2 The Piano Chord Book download mp4 3gp mp3

Any updated version of this lesson, with the background music adjusted is available here youtu be mZk4rybkejY From www ThePianoChordBook com Learn to Play the Piano, Lesson #2 The focus of this 3 minute lesson is on learning how scales are made This knowledge becomes especially important when we discuss chords in later lessons Learn how scales are made and how to use scales when you play the piano Check out our apps - iPhone ( itunes apple com us app piano-chord-key id406458316?mt 8) or Droid ( www appbrain com app piano-chord-book com PianoChordBook pcb) Learning to play the piano can be easy The information in this video helps you learn the keys of the piano keyboard Starting from a beginner level, these series of videos advance in difficulty Follow these simple steps to learn how to play the piano You will be playing your favorite song, using chords or scales in no time A quick, fast, and easy guide to helping you learn to play the piano Learn to play your favorite song like a pro! Video Tran ion Hey everybody, this is Aaron Whitehead Welcome to Learn to Play the Piano This is lesson two in a series of short lessons In this video we will focus on how scales are made Knowing about scales will become essential in our conversations in later lessons about chords First thing we re going to talk about are half steps and whole steps Now, the piano is laid out in a series of keys and each key represents a half step So between the key C and C sharp is a half step From C sharp up to D is a half step From D to D sharp is a half step From D sharp to E is a half step And from E to F is a half step Now, just like in math, if you take two halves and put them together you get a whole So on a piano keyboard, two half steps equal a whole step So, from C to C sharp is a half step And another half step from C sharp to D So from C to D is a whole step And likewise if you start on the key of E and go a half step up you get to F and another half step gives you F sharp so from E to F sharp is a whole step Now a scale is series of seven notes made up of whole steps and half steps And a Major scale uses the formula whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, whole step, half step So let s take a look at an example of what that looks like If we start on the note C and go up a whole step we get the note D From D if we go up another whole step we get E Now we go up a half step from E and get F From F we go up a whole step and get G From G we go up another whole step and get A From A we go up a whole step and we get B And from B we go up a half step and we re back at C again This makes the C Major scale Now again the formula for a Major scale is whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, whole step, half step In case you can t ever remember what the formula is, or you don t remember how many whole steps there are before you get to a half step, just look at the piano keyboard You have two black keys and three black keys The two black keys can represent the two whole steps and then a half step and then you have the three black keys represent the three whole steps and then a half step So using this formula we can build a Major scale off of any key on the piano keyboard So using this information let s take a look at building a scale off the note D We start on D, we go a whole step up from D to E, another whole step up from E to F sharp, from F sharp we go up a half step to G, from G we go up a whole step to A, from A we go up a whole step to B, from B we go up another whole step to C sharp And from C sharp we go up a half step to the note D, and that completes our D Major scale We hope you enjoyed lesson number two All of this information and more is available in our book, A Piano Chord Book You Can Actually Use! which can be purchased from our website thepianochordbook com and please check out lesson number three where we will discuss chords Thanks! God bless, and see you next

You may think life changing is a little over the top… but for me it really is true, as this September I will become a full-time music student at University and I’m beyond excited for that! I decided to make my own 1 year progress video, after watching so many myself before finally committing to purchasing my own digital piano Who knows, maybe if it wasn’t for those videos I wouldn’t have ever taken that first step, which is crazy to think looking back now! That’s why I decided it was important for me to record these clips and make a video, in hopes of motivating someone else to take up an instrument, giving it there all and seeing where they can go with it too Up until month 8 I used Jane s piano tutorials to learn 99% of the music I learnt She is a retired math teacher and dedicates her free time to playing through requested pieces by viewers every single day! Mostly all classical pieces have a tutorial and many popular video game, anime, TV shows and movie compositions can be found on her channel If you really want to learn but can t afford a teacher, I think this would be your best option Jane s channel s www youtube com channel UCidvz_O5zdX7z2mr4zkeL2g There are a few pieces I learnt on my own and for lessons which I didn’t put in the video due to time not recording, so below is a more detailed breakdown of what was happening every month Month 1 -Random beginner piano tutorials and books (stopped trying to read music and started to learn music through online tutorials) -Gary Jules – Mad World -Song of storms from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time – Koji Kondo -Beethoven – Fur Elise Month 2 -Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts - Yoko Shimomura Month 3 -To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X – Nobuo Uematsu -Ludovico Einaudi – Nuvole Bianche -Tifa’s Theme form Final Fantasy 7 – Nobuo Uematsu Month 4 -Yiruma – River Flows in You -Ed Sheeran – Shape of You -Ludovico Einaudi – Una Mattina (Started getting lessons at the end of this month) Month 5 -Claude Debussy - Clair De Lune Month 6 -Scott Joplin – Maple Leaf Rag Month 7 -Chopin – Nocturne #2 in Eb major (op9 no2) -Sadness and Sorrow from Naruto – Toshio Masuda Month 8 -Various classical pieces from the book ‘Classics to Moderns #2 -Chopin – Waltz in A minor B 150 (Op Posth) (Stopped learning music through online tutorials and committed to reading music Everything past this month I learnt by reading) Month 9 -Various classical pieces from the book ‘Classics to Moderns #2 Month 10 -Chopin – Nocturne #20 in C# minor (Op Posth) -Kuhlau - Sonatina in C major (op55 no1) Month 11 -Mozart – Turkish March (K331) -Clementi – Sonatina in C major (op36 no3) -Beethoven – Sonata #20 in G major (op49 no2) Month 12 -Mozart – Sonata #16 in C major (K545) 1 Year -Chopin – Fantaisie-Impromptu (op66 posth) List of Books used -Learn to play Piano by Alison M Sparrow -John Thompson’s Easiest Piano Course Books 1, 2 and 3 -Take Five and pass first time (for learning up to grade 5 theory) -Classic to Moderns Books 1 and 2 -Sonatina Album Volume 1 (Peters Edition) -Chopin Nocturnes (Henle) -Chopin Impromptus (Henle) -ABRSM -A keyboard anthology (Book 1) & Encore (Book 1) (sight-reading practice) Here s a list of some YouTube channels I found extremely useful when learning -Paul Barton s www youtube com user PaulBartonPiano -Josh Wright s www youtube com user joshwrightpiano -Cedarville music s www youtube com user cedarvillemusic -Living Pianos s www youtube com user LivingPianosVideos -Piano TV s www youtube com channel UCz0PmHG0RvQHazlEsFU-4uQ -BachScholar s www youtube com user BachScholar Pianos used -Digital Piano - Yamaha P-115 -Acoustic Pianos - Yamaha U2 (later upgraded to Feurich 125 as seen In last clip) If you have any questions just a

This left hand pattern sounds AMAZING with almost any song "Supercharge Your Piano Practice" www bestpianotips com supercharge-piano "Become a Piano Superhuman" Online Piano Training, Free for now www bestpianoclass com ytdSuperhuman Hey guys, so this is my go-to left hand pattern for piano I use it ALL the time if you watch any of my piano covers It s basically an arpeggiated 9th chord if you know your theory The notes are scale degree 1 3 5 8 9 5 8 5 (With "8" being the root up and octave and "9" being scale degree 2 up an octave) In other words, if we re in C Major, the notes are C E G C D G C G So in the video, I m going to first demonstrate it, then show you exactly what notes to play, then show you how to learn it fast! Watch the third part! Seriously, you could learn this thing in a week with 5 minutes a day of practice and have it the rest of your life! Once you lean one or two songs with it, you can literally just plug it into any song and know it s going to sound good Another thing, once you learn it, it s tempting to never try anything else Don t do this either, keep improving yourself and learning different left-hand patterns You can always have this one to fall back on when you ask yourself "What to play with my left hand" when covering a song on piano, but try other styles out too, or try making one up yourself! In this beginner tutorial video, I show you how to learn any Pop Song (or Pop Songs) on the Piano in 5 Minutes (Even if you ve never touched a piano!) Are you a beginner to the piano? Have you always wanted to learn how to play the piano? People try to make it complicated but it really doesn t have to be Beginners that want to learn how to play piano typically with sign up for local piano lessons first, but that is not always a good idea The reason is that most piano teachers teach too much theory and make it very complicated If you are beginner that wants to learn how to play piano quickly and easily, try the simple method in this tutorial instead First of all, just memorize one group of twelve keys, rather than trying to memorize all eighty eight keys on the piano Next, remember that flat means left and sharp means right Then (and this is the key) you need to learn how to play all the major and minor chords on the piano There is a very simple trick for beginners to remember how to play them For major chords, just remember "four three" and for minor chords, just remember "three four" That s it It really can be that simple for beginners If you want to play a major chord, put your finger on the main note of the chord, then go up four keys and then three Just reverse it for minor chords The last thing to do to begin playing your favorite songs is to look up the chords to the song on Google Just type in the name of the song followed by the word "chords" The click on one of the results and you should be presented with the exact chords for that song Now, there are some more advanced tricks you can throw in to make the song sound better, but this really is all you need to start playing a basic version of all your favorite pop songs on the piano almost instantly Piano In 21 Days s PianoIn21Days com ?&gclid youtube53 Free eBook pianoin21days com free-5-day-workbook ?&gclid youtube53 Facebook Facebook com PianoIn21Days Twitter Twitter com PianoIn21Days #PianoIn21Days #LearnPianoFast #HowToPlay

Start with the C Major scale and learn it hands separate Then try playing the scale ascending very slowly with both hands Once you are able to play the scale ascending, learn the scale descending Then play the scale ascending and descending Learn 1 scale a week until you can play all the major scales slowly Then gradually increase the tempo over weeks to achieve greater speed Here is a scale exercise Start with C Major and play up the scale with half notes in the right hand while playing whole notes in the left hand Then do the same but with half notes in the left hand and whole notes in the right had 2 Hanon Are great for developing two handed dexterity between both hands These are for playing in parallel meaning you are playing the same intervals at the same time Try learning one a day or one a week until you learn them all Play them slow at first then over weeks gradually increase the tempo www hanon-online com 3 Czerny These are highly recommended for practice playing different rhythms and pitches for each hand pianoexercises org exercises cz
